Features of SKY Shibo
Using SKY Shibo technology, it is possible to create a finish on molded products that looks like sprayed paint without the need for a painting process.
SKY Shibo has the following characteristics.
- It is possible to create a finish that looks like it was sprayed with paint.
- Hard to get scratched and hard to stand out.
- Easy to wipe and remove dirt.
The figure below is an enlarged view of the surface of the molded product.
Conventional "stipple patterns'' consists of independent recesses that look like holes in a flat surface, but if dirt gets into these holes, it is extremely difficult to wipe it off.
In comparison, SKY Shibo is made up of independent protrusions, making it easy to wipe off dirt and other dirt.

In addition, the following are the reasons why SKY Shibo is highly resistant to scratches and is less noticeable.
・The structure in which scratches become more noticeable is when scratches occur on a continuous plane, and the continuous plane of SKY Shibo is located at a lower position than the convex part.
・Compared to conventional "bladed" surfaces, SKY Shibo has less surface contact, making it less prone to scratches and less visible.
